Abstract: 

A model cohesive crack growth due to viscoelastic properties of a material is proposed. The problem statement takes into account that the condition of closure smoothness and the traction-separation law hold true at an arbitrary moment of time. The model demonstrates increasing the cohesive zone size both during the incubation period of crack propagation and during the crack growth.
